Here at Flag & Castle House bed and breakfast we want to reassure guests that we take their health and safety very seriously. We are therefore implementing a range of measures which will keep you, and us, safe. We have successfully applied for the Good to Go Industry Standard to show we are following guidelines on cleanliness and social distancing. We have also achieved the AA Covid Confident accreditation which means we are following social distancing and safety measures, that we have completed a Covid risk assessment for our establishment, we are following industry and government guidelines and have signed up to the AA Covid Confident Charter.
Good Practice– A hand sanitising station will be provided at our entry/exit and we request that all guests sanitise upon entering the building.
Our check in process will allow for a reduced contact experience and all surfaces, door handles and equipment will be regularly sanitised throughout the day. Upon arrival please step back 2 metres from the door after ringing the bell.
Upon your departure please leave your room key in the the bedroom door.
Every guest bedroom and en-suite will be fully sanitised before each stay. All surfaces are thoroughly wiped down and cleaned prior to your arrival. Bed linens and towels are professionally washed at a temperature above 60 degrees. All toiletries and consumables are replaced before each stay. All en suites will be provided with hand sanitiser. TV remote controls will be placed in individual hygiene bags and will be changed between guest stays.
Daily housekeeping at the bed and breakfast will only be available on request.
Breakfast– We have reconfigured our breakfast room to ensure that social distancing can be adhered to. We will take necessary measures to maintain minimum contact. Breakfast service will continue to be offered to order. We will adapt our buffet service so each table has a mini personal selection to choose from. Each table will have its own individual toaster. Tables will be sanitised between settings.
We ask that guests sanitise their hands when they enter the breakfast room.
Guest Health-It is essential that you do not travel if you are unwell or are demonstrating any Covid-19 symptoms (fever, cough, loss of smell). If you are worried about any symptoms ahead of your stay, please contact us and we will move your booking. If you develop symptoms during your stay with us we expect you to immediately head home to self isolate and get yourself tested.
If you develop Covid-19 symptoms or are told to self isolate within 14 days of staying with us, please email to let us know as soon as possible.
If we need to cancel your booking because we have developed Covid-19 symptoms or have been told to self isolate, we will let you know immediately. We will offer to refund any monies already taken, or do our best to find another local B&B for your stay, as you prefer.
